BUILDING USE POLICY AND GUIDELINES
We offer the following guidelines to help you plan your use of our church facilities. This is a Non-Smoking Facility.
Facilities Available:
Our Sanctuary is available for weddings, religious programs, funerals, etc., with a seating capacity of approximately 150. There will be no charge for the use of the Sanctuary for members of our church and their immediate family. Non-members are required to make a $200.00 deposit, of which $100.00 will be refunded if the Sanctuary is left in the same or better condition.
The Sanctuary has available:
(a) Piano
(b) Organ
(c) Sound System
Rehearsal:
If there is a rehearsal (wedding, play, etc.), it should begin promptly. For wedding rehearsals, the bride and groom are urged to ask all members of the wedding party to be on time for the rehearsal.
The following information will be helpful in preparing for the rehearsal:
(1) The minister is in charge of the rehearsal.
(2) The rehearsal will last approximately one hour.
(3) All members of the wedding party, including parents, grandparents, ushers, flower
girls, ring bearers, bridal attendants, and groomsmen should be present.
(4) The musician and any soloists should be scheduled by the wedding couple to attend.
(5) A representative of the Board
of Trustees of the Church, coordinating with the Pastor, will
oversee the function and facilities.
NOTE: According to the DISCIPLINE OF
THE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, our
Sanctuary may only be used with the express permission of the resident Pastor.
Our Fellowship Hall will be available for weddings,
receptions, reunions, etc., with standing/mingling room for approximately 300
and a seating capacity for approximately 125.
For use of the Fellowship Hall and Kitchen facilities, we require from
non-members a $300.00 deposit, of which $150.00 will be refunded if the
Fellowship Hall and Kitchen are left in a clean and orderly condition.
The Fellowship Hall has:
(a) Tables (round)
(b) Chairs (folding)
(c) Sound System
(d) Full Kitchen facilities (with two refrigerators)
(e) Piano
There will be no charge for funerals held in our Church; however, we expect that our facilities will be treated as the house of our Lord.
NOTE: The Payne Springs United Methodist Church will not be held responsible for physical
and/or personal liability, should injury occur in or on the premises of the Payne Springs United Methodist Church.
The Church Secretary shall be responsible for first obtaining the signature of the person/persons using the Church facilities, then, and only then, placing the item on the Church calendar.
