Ray Robinson
Services for Ray Leon Robinson, 79, Mabank, were held Aug. 26, 2006, in the
First United Methodist Church in Mabank with the Revs. Royce Riley, John Howard
and John Robinson officiating. Interment was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under
the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Robinson was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Esteline and died Aug. 23, 2006, in Athens.
He had been a resident of Mabank since 1985, and served in the U.S. Navy in
World War II. He was of the Methodist faith and retired from the Waka ISD in
1988, where he was a superintendent/coach.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Principal in Booker. He graduated from
Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas in 1944 and East Texas State University in
Commerce.
Survivors include his wife Jean Robinson, Mabank; sons Doug Robinson and wife
Sarah, Mesquite; John Robinson and wife Linda, Coppell; daughters Cathy Kinzer,
Los Angeles, Calif.; and Vicki Anderson and husband Glen, Albuquerque, N. M.;
nine grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
