You are invited to two important events coming up for our congregation
on Wed, Aug l.



First is the follow-up transformation church training that will be held at
FUMC Athens from 10 am - 4 pm.   Everyone is urged to attend this day of
information & training on growing a healthy, vital church for making
disciples for Jesus Christ.   We will need to turn in a count for lunch, so
we need to know if you will attend.   The church van can transport any who
do not want to drive to Athens & back.



Second is the special session, Dr Don Nations, Texas Conference consultant
on becoming the People of God for the 21C, will be leading in our church on
Wed night, Aug 1, following our fellowship meal and program to explain how
transformation will benefit our church.   Dr Nations will explain the
transformation process & how we measure our progress in meeting the goals we
set for ourselves.   All our members are urged to attend this important
meeting as we plan the future of our church.   Bring your questions &
concerns.  Call the church office, 903 451 2978, to let us know & the church van will pick
up & take home any who do not want to drive after dark.
