 The Herrick memorial service is Sunday 26th at 2:30 p.m.,
the family will be fed after the service - about 35 family members.

Virginia Bufkin memorial is Saturday, Jan 28th at 1 PM
Special friends and family,
 
Mother's services are scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 1:00 pm.  They will be at her church, Payne Springs United Methodist Church, Payne Springs, Texas near Cedar Creek Lake.  This church is very close to where she lived for 10+ years until her recent move to Dallas.
 
Her Pastor and dear friend, Jim Chatham, has been invited to come from his present church in Tyler and to conduct her services.  We are grateful to him for this gesture and his performing of the services was one of Mother's very few requests and pleased her so very much.

.  However, once you get to the Cedar Creek area, the church and directions are known to almost everyone in the area.  And, the church is on the main north south highway, 198, on the east side of the lake and is very easy to find.  The Church's website is www.paynespringsumc.org for further information or assistance if you should need it.  Or, please call me at the numbers below or just reply to this email.

 
The members of the church have offered to provide some food and refreshments at the church,  I know that Mother loves and appreciates this special gesture by her church family and loving friends.
 
We know that location etc. may make it difficult for many to attend, but it will be wonderful to see those of you who can be with us then.

  1. Special friends and family,
     
    We wanted to let you know that our mother left us early this morning and is now with the Father.  We know that she is in that special place that he has prepared for her.
     
    As we were told, her passing was peaceful, comfortable and without pain or suffering.  We are eternally grateful for that gift.
     
    We are also so grateful to all of you for your kind words, your support, your friendship, love and kindness.  We plan a memorial service at Payne Springs United Methodist Church where she attended for years while living at Cedar Creek Lake.  The services It will be relatively soon, but not immediately.  We will let you know when those plans become complete.  However, she will be buried in the cemetery at that church later today. 
     
    Thank you again for your kindness and your contributions to our Mother's life.
     
    Love to you all and may the peace of our Lord be with you always.
