Rev David Diller’s sermon, “The Spirit's Presence" was from John 15:26-16:15. Some churches focus so much on the Holy Spirit they are effectively "unitarians." Others think only of God the Father & Jesus Christ the Son. They are "binitarians." A church is "trinitarian" when it relates to God the Creator of all, Jesus the human focus of God, & the Holy Spirit which creates, renews, & guides the Christian community in its imitation of Christ. Under the ancient legal system when the Fourth Gospel was written both accuser & accused were on trial. Jesus sends his Spirit to the accused Christians as their Defense Attorney to counter the world's understanding of sin, righteousness, & judgment.
