Rev David Diller preached on “New Beginnings” from Luke 1:26-38. This fourth Sunday of Advent we hear again the angel’s announcement of Jesus’ birth to Mary.   This season is all about a baby & babies are miracles from God.   Miraculously, every baby born in any country grows up learning to speak that language.   The human brain is amazingly plastic & can keep on learning & improving into old age.

Payne Springs United Methodist Church is a growing church for growing people.  December 31 we bring in the New Year from 9- midnight with snacks, table games, & Watchnight Worship.   The church office will be closed Christmas & New Year’s Day but we resume our normal schedule in January.

Payne Springs UMC hosts a Walk to Emmaus reunion group every Tue at 5 pm.   Meetings are open & everyone is invited to bring a snack supper & join us.  All are welcome.    Disciple Bible Study resumes Jan 22.
