Betty Samonek Bio

 

My husband Jerry and I moved to Cedar Creek Lake last Oct. after many years of being week‑enders. We have been married 42 years and have 2 children and five grandchildren.

 

I have been in childcare for five years. The children's ages ranged from infants to five years. I also worked with older children in religious education. Before coming to PSUMC I worked at Lady USA Spa and St Michael's Catholic Church in their nurseries.

 

At PSUMC I take care of the infants and children who are too small to attend Sunday school and church services. We play with the many toys in the nursery. About 9:45 we have a short Bible Lesson and do craft. We then have a snack and refreshment and watch a Video. After our snack we play some more. If the children are too restless, we color or do some other activity.

 

I enjoy caring for the infants and the children and teaching them about God and his Blessings.

My family and I are fairly new to the church and have just become new members.  I am married and have been so for seven years and we have five children.  I have my degree in childcare and I have my license to open a daycare.  I love working at PSUMC, everyone is so friendly and loving, and I am so glad to have become a member.  I hope that during my time at PSUMC I am able to teach children the word of God and help them become loving caring adults and to help them to grow and make decisions in life that will better their Christian faith.
