UNITED METHODIST MEN         8/16/06

 

Met at 6:30 for our regular August meeting.  Rev McDaniel led us in prayer and we had a great meal.

 

Mickey Wilson opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with a marble check.  No Marble fines.

---Minutes of the last meeting were passed out, read and approved as read.

---Bill brown gave a Treasurer’s report.  There’s 703.68 in the Bank, and we collected 28.77 tonight and now have 732.45.

---Mickey waived the business part of the meeting to pass out a project coordination chart, listing upcoming projects for the balance of the year and individuals to be in charge of that project.  It will be their responsibility to write a report on the project that will be used at the Charge Conference later this year. ---Motion made, seconded and carried to give Rev McDaniel a Marble.  John Dawson performed the ceremony and presented the Marble.

---Motion made, seconded and passed to put a NEW MARBLE in the display case for Jessie Huggins (One was loaned to use until the new ones arrived.) (Ron to be informed w/E mail of this motion by copy of these minutes)

---Mickey Wilson did the Devotional from “Yes Lord I have sinned, but I have a lot of good excuses”.  Jim Ragsdale will do the Devotional next month.
